Day
1 Johannesburg to Graskop(Mpumalanga)
Depart from Johannesburg and travel through
to the scenic towns of Pilgrim's Rest and Graskop
as we take in the highlights of the Drakensberg
escarpment; God's Window, three waterfalls, Bourke's
potholes and the world's 3rd largest canyon - the
Blyde Canyon. Overnight at the Three Rondawels Aventura
Resort. Dinner under the stars.
Day 2 Big 5 Game Viewing
After a hearty breakfast we make our way
to the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre,
before heading into one of the private lodges in
the Sabie Sands - Elephant Plains. After lunch
we go game viewing on an open game vehicle looking
for the Big 5. Dinner around the campfire.
Day 3 Kruger National
Park
The early bird catches the worm (or sees
the morning game)! After breakfast we take a bush
walk before leaving for the Kruger National Park.
Overnight at Satara Camp. We have our last
evening out in the bush as we have a traditional
South African braai.
Day 4 Maputo (Mozambique)
We are up early before sunrise as we head
south and look for all the animals not yet found.
A bush breakfast is served at one of the picnic
areas in the Park. We leave the Kruger in
the late afternoon and head for Maputo. Border
formalities completed we arrive in a bustling Maputo.
In the evening we choose our own fresh seafood at
the fish market and have dinner at the local Portuguese
Mozambique restaurants.
Day
5 Biliene (Mozambique)
After breakfast we do a little sight seeing
of Maputo, including a stop over at the market before
heading northwards to the town of Beliene.
We stay at Palmerios Lodge with your room only a
few meters from the lagoon. Have dinner overlooking
the beaches and sea.
Day
6 Biliene
Enjoy a relaxing day on the beach sunbathing,
fishing, snorkeling or visiting the locals. Enjoy
a dinner of fresh fish purchased from the fisherman
on the beach - an unforgettable tropical experience.
Day
7 (South Africa)
We leave behind the peace and tranquility
of the beaches after a late breakfast and travel
back to South Africa.
