Day 1:
Johannesburg - Timbavati
Friday: Arrival to JHB international in the
morning, met by local operator (Flexi Tours). Travel
on the Transfrontiers shuttle from Johannesburg
to the “bush pub” w/meeting point where you will
be introduced to your experiences guide, your host
for the next 3 days. Your transfer is 5 hours in
a Microbus with a ½ hour stop in between. After
lunch you transfer to the open safari vehicles to
one of the bush camps in the Klaserie or Thimbavati
Private Nature Reserve (Greater Kruger National
Park Area) Guests visits both Klaserie and Thimbavati
Parks. The afternoon brings an introductory walk/drive
and returning to the camp with a spotlight drive
for a hearty dinner. Overnight in a tented camp!
Bed, breakfast, light lunch and dinner is included.
Day 2:
Timbavati
Saturday: After a morning walk and a hearty
breakfast we depart for one of the other bush camps.
Settle in, have little fiesta and then it’s time
for light lunch. In the afternoon we go exploring
again, get to know the local fauna and flora. After
sundowners we drive back to camp with a spotlight
for viewing the nocturnal animals. Dinner is served
around the campfire and creep into bed in the tent
with the night sounds to lull you to sleep.
Day 3:
Timbavati
Sunday: We set off at first light after a snack
breakfast. We may walk directly from camp op else
use a vehicle to get further out. Your guide will
explain the tracks and signs left by the passing
animals. The thrill of walking, tracking end getting
close to the animals in the African Bush is an unforgettable
experience. A big breakfast is prepared back in
the camp and then there is time to unwind and relax
or spot some birds/small game around the camp. The
afternoons’ activity is a walking/driving combination
followed by sundowners at a beautiful spot in the
reserve and an night-drive back to the camp. Your
supper will be waiting when you return to camp and
after a relaxing evening around the campfire your
tent will be waiting.
Day 4:
Malelane
Monday: after the morning activities and breakfast
you will meet your Flexi Tours ranger/guide and
spend the afternoon traveling south via the Blyde
River Canyon to arrive in Malelane. Overnight at
the beautiful Pestana lodge on the banks of the
Crocodile River.
Day 5: Inhaca
Island
Tuesday: after breakfast we depart for Mozambique
with border formalities at Lebombo / Rosanna Garcia.
After a short introductory city tour we stop at
one of Maputo’s famed bistro’s for seafood lunch
. Fly to Inhaca Island from the Maputo airport and
book in at the overnight destination – the Pestana
Inhaca Island Resort. Secure and tranquil, Inhaca
is famous for its beautiful garden, beaches and
warm crystal clear waters and it’s a popular stopover
for yacht, sailboats and cruises. Large areas of
its unspoiled vegetation and velvet waters entice
those in search of an island idyll and its protection
as a natural reserve since 1976 ensures a pristine
environment.

Day 6:
Inhaca Island
Wednesday: a day for you to fully enjoy the
island and warm Indian Ocean waters. Maybe a trip
to Portuguese Island, a walk to the Marine Biological
Station, snorkeling or just lazing around the pool?
The village adjacent to the lodge has several quaint
traditional restaurants where one may enjoy more
of the seafood that Mozambique is famed for. Overnight
again at the Resort. (Activities not included).
Day 7:
One more day at the Resort (Dow sailing if possible)
- which is an extra activity(s).
Day 8:
Maputo
Thursday: another morning to delight in the
island with a trip to Lighthouse Point or a walk
to explore the mangroves. In the afternoon it is
time for a short flight back to Maputo. Transfer
to the lovely Perstana Rovuma Carlton Hotel for
your last evening on the tour. Look at the above

Day 9:
Nelspruit
After breakfast transfer to Nelspruit. Please
note that SA Airlink flights go from approx.
R1 100-00 to R1 500-00 from Nelspruit to Johannesburg.
